July 17 - 21, 2006 (9AM-12 PM) USA Superstar Developmental Basketball Camp Cane Creek Middle School Fairview, North Carolina
Boys and girls 7-10 years of age
PURPOSE - It is important for the young beginning player to learn correctly, the techniques of playing basketball, especially shooting. If a player can learn the mechanics of the shot before he or she picks up bad habits, then almost anyone can become a good shooter and give him or herself the opportunity to make their grade school, middle school and even their high school basketball team.
|
The USA Superstar, "Developmental" Basketball Camp is the camp where that dream can begin. With its limited enrollment and excellent instruction, the USA Camp has been and will continue to be the #1 teaching basketball camp in Western North Carolina.
TEACHING AND LEARNING HOW TO PLAY CORRECTLY
This is the reason the USA Camp is truly #1. We make sure that one-half of our camp time is spent learning the fundamentals, and the other half is spent in games and individual competition practicing what has been taught. And every player can be assured that he or she is being taught by someone with many years of experience teaching basketball to young people. Richard Skaggs, the director and one of the instructors, has had twenty-eight years of experience teaching and coaching basketball on every level from middle school to major college.
Also the 7 and 8-year-old players will be playing on lower goals and use smaller balls to insure being able to learn the proper techniques of shooting and ballhandling.
CAMP DIRECTOR
Directing the USA Superstar Developmental and the"JR Select" Basketball Camps is Richard Skaggs.
